Q: How was it like when you became one of the top 4?
A: Excitement and unnerving. Excitement because it was a new experience - leading a big group of people. Unnerving because now I was one of the front faces of choir. everything I do was a reflection off what the cca was about. In addition, having to sacrifice my personal interests so everything in choir can be smooth sailing.
Q: What was the most memorial part of being in the choir?
A: Planning choir camp. The brainstorming and execution process was hell, but it sure did bring the top 4 closer to each other. Seeing how everything plays out in the end somewhat compensated for the sleepless nights that we spent organising the whole event.
Q: Is there anything you believe the choir has improved in while you were/are part of the top 4?
A: I think discipline. I’m glad that I chose to focus more on that rather than the musical side when I was in charge. Hopefully, the choir members will bring whatever values they’ve learnt in choir and apply them in the real world, once they step down from choir too.
Q: What are you most proud of the choir for?
A: syf and sicf awards. Going into those competition, we definitely weren’t looking like our best and that was a concern because most of us wanted to attain the best results possible. Luckily, we were able to pull ourselves together in the end and got the achievements we were aiming for.
Q: Did you make any long-lasting friendships in the choir?
A: Yup. Shoutout to hannah and rachel for keeping me sane after each choir session. In addition, I feel like as we were the top 4s, we were able to bond more with our teachers-in-charge and conductors too, as we were able to empathise with the problems they were facing better.

Q: Was it difficult to manage your position and schoolwork?
A: It was in the first 3 months or so, but that was mainly due to my lack of foresight and time management. Once I got that down, everything was okay for the most part.
